SafeShot Target Hanger

Description

Our Patented SafeShot target hanger was designed specifically for Pistol and Close range shooting of AR500 steel plates. It is not recommended to shoot Steel targets inside of 10yrds (30 feet). If you choose to do so, add a layer of safety. SafeShot is designed to hold any standard AR500 gongs or plates at a 22deg – 28deg angle. This has a couple different benefits.

1. Energy is directed down and away from shooter
2. With Energy being redirected down instead of  absorbed by the target
   1. Increases life of steel target
   2. Target has less movement for rapid follow-up shots on target
3. Hanger is constructed of same AR500 target material. No more bolt, chain, rubber or any other wearable item replacements…
4. Bullet fragments are also directed away from your wooden or softer steel stands, adding to the life expectancy of your stand.

The first adds a layer of safety to shooting close to your steel target directing almost all energy down and away from the shooter and overhead stand. All leading edges of the hanger are also beveled at an angle of 22 deg. This leaves no flat (90deg) facing edges to the shooter directly in front of the target. We have done testing as close as 10 feet ( link to video) with zero fragments coming back at the shooter with Rifle and Pistol.

As you can see in the linked video. Zero fragments returned toward the shooter. Our 2×4 target stand also had zero fragments impact, adding to the life expectancy of the stand.

Other angled hangers require a stand directly in the path of where the fragments are directed.

We have not had any deformations on our SafeShot hangers from any Pistol Caliber ammo.

All of our AR500 products are shipped unpainted. We do recommend painting them whichever color you prefer to protect your hanger. If painted and a round does impact the hanger, hit it with a quick spurt of paint and your back to looking like new.
